Ministry of steel, government of India has further extended the term of Smt. Bharathi S. Sihag as NMDC’s new Chairman cum Managing Director for one more month.
On 31 Oct’16, NMDC in its BSE filing informed that the additional charge of the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NMDC Limited is assigned to Smt. Bharathi S. Sihag, Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of steel for a further period of one month w.e.f 01 Nov’16 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Smt Bharathi S. Sihag has been holding the additional charge of the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NMDC Limited since Jan’16 after company’s previous CMD Mr. Narendra Kothari retired on 31 Dec’15.
Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) in its issued notification of 26 Sept’16, recommended name of Mr. Narendra Kumar Nanda for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of NMDC.
