Indian Billet demand has not picked up

In Indian market, Billet offers have not shown any major changes as demand for the material remains sluggish.

According to market participants, sellers on one hand are not ready to cut offers and buyers on the other are reluctant to make purchases at current offers.

Low demand from end user is the major factor which has impacted the Billet market. Today, prices have either remained unchanged or fallen in the range of Rs 200-500/MT.

Other factors such as high production cost, arrival of monsoons and unpredictable market have affected sales.
