The Baltic Dry Index recovered after three consecutive days of decline, rising 1.16% (24 points) d-o-d to 2,043 on 20 Feb’26, supported by improved Capesize iron ore fixing and steady coal and grain enquiries in the Panamax segment, which outweighed marginal softness in Supramax amid muted minor bulk activity.
- Capesize: BCI surged 1.61% (50 points) to 3,051.
- Panamax: BPI rose 1.22% (22 points) to 1,838.
- Supramax: BSI dropped 0.08% (1 point) to 1,159.
