Baltic Dry Index declines for 3rd consecutive day

The Baltic Dry Index dipped by 2.1% (44 points) d-o-d to 2,019 points on 19 Feb’26 — the third consecutive day with a decline. Weaker Capesize iron ore fixtures and increased vessel availability outweighed firmer Panamax coal and grain demand.

  • Capesize: BCI fell 3.6% (114 points) to 3,001.
  • Panamax: BPI rose 1.1% (20 points) to 1,816.
  • Supramax: BSI dropped 1.7% (20 points) to 1,160.
