Brazil: Iron ore exports drop by 8% y-o-y in Jan’26

  • Brazil’s iron ore exports fell by 7.6% y-o-y to 28.54 mnt in Jan’26 against 30.89 mnt in Jan’25, as per customs data.
  • Moreover, shipments dropped by 29.1% m-o-m against 40.24 mnt in Dec.
  • Average export prices held steady at $72.0/t FOB in Jan’26 from $72.7/t in Jan’25.
