Pig Iron markets in India witness low trading volumes and production has come down too. There has been no change in either steel grade or foundry grade material.
Manufacturers are unable to reduce current offers due to low production. Buyers are cautious regarding new purchases as prices are range bound for sometime and expect some correction.
Some of the plants in Chhattisgarh and Goa continue to use production for captive purposes and are not selling in the outside market.
