Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published three separate tenders for the purchase of steam coal of total quantity 1.27 MnT. The first and second tender is for Hadong Power Plants of quantity 296,000 MT and 580,000 MT respectively and the third tender is for Samcheok Green Power Plants of quantity 400,000 MT. The specifications of all the three tenders are different.
The shipments of first and second tender should be started from Jan’17 on FOBT basis and third tender’s shipment from Dec’16 on FOBT basis. Russian mines coal are not accepted in first and second tender.
The offer validity is of 14 business days from the date of tender closing. KOSPO can request the bidder to extend validity period of bid, if necessary.

Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country, to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.
Due date (Korean Standard Time)
The due date of first tender is 26 Oct’16 till 14:00 hrs and second & third tender is 27 Oct’16 till 10:00 and 14:00 hrs respectively.
