The Baltic Dry Index rose 7.3% (146 points) d-o-d to a one-month high of 2,148 points on 30 Jan’26. The index rose on improved fixing activity and tighter tonnage, led by strong Capesize demand, while Panamax and Supramax rates remained supported by steady cargo flows.
- Capesize: BCI rose sharply by 12% (376 points) to 3,507.
- Panamax: BPI increased 1.6% (27 points) to 1,743.
- Supramax: BSI went up by 0.5% (5 points) to 1,067.
