Italy, the world’s second largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.09 MnT Pig iron in Jul’16 according to trade statistics released by European Union Customs .
Italy Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 58% M-o-M in Jul’16 against 0.21 MnT in Jun’16. On similar lines, imports were down by 36% Y-o-Y against 0.14 MnT in Jul’15.
In the first seven months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 0.91 MnT, slightly down by 1% as compared to 0.92 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Jul’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.06 MnT, from Ukraine it was 0.01 MnT and from Brazil imports remained nil.
