USA, the world’s largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.75 MnT Pig iron in Aug’16 according to trade statistics released by USA customs.
USA Pig iron imports have registered a growth of 81% M-o-M in Aug’16 against 0.41 MnT in Jul’16. On similar lines, imports were up by 59.5% Y-o-Y against 0.47 MnT in Aug’15.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 2.85 MnT, slightly up by 0.3% as compared to 2.84 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Aug’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.43 MnT, from Ukraine it was 0.2 MnT and from Brazil imports were registered at 0.1 MnT.
