India’s met coke imports drop by 20% y-o-y in CY’25

India’s metallurgical (met) coke imports fell 20% y-o-y to 3.9 million tonnes (mnt) in CY’25, according to provisional data. Quantitative restrictions on the imports of low-ash met (LAM) coke were the primary factor contributing to the sharp drop in volumes.
