South Korea: POSCO holds 300-series stainless steel prices steady for Jan’26

South Korea’s POSCO has decided to keep prices for 300-series stainless steel unchanged for January, marking the third consecutive month of a price freeze. The decision comes despite a sharp rise in nickel prices, recently touched $18,000/t on tighter Indonesian mining quotas. POSCO cited weak domestic demand as the key reason, while noting the company may revisit pricing if cost pressures intensify.
