Indian Silico Manganese export stood at 36,814 MT in Sep’16 which fell by 20% M-o-M. In Aug’16 Silico Manganese export registered 46,100 MT. Falling export is a result of rising Silico manganese prices in domestic market. Notably it has increased by 20 % in last few months.
The maximum quantity of exports were from Japan (6,618 MT) in Sep’16 followed by Italy (5,553 MT).
In FY17 (April-Sep’16) total exports have been recorded at 204,541 MT (0.20 MnT). In FY16 India exported around 0.67 MnT Silico manganese.
