India: SAIL-SSP floats purchase tender for 1,200 t of ferro chrome

SAIL’s Salem Steel Plant (SSP) has invited bids to procure 1,200 t of high-carbon HC ferro chrome (Cr 57-63%, C 5-8%, 10-70 mm). The bid submission deadline is 5 Jan’26. As per the reverse auction qualification rule, the highest-priced bid will be eliminated. BigMint assessed HC ferro chrome (Cr 60%, 10-150 mm) prices at INR 107,400/t ex-Jajpur on 19 Dec’25.
