Trade statistics released by the European Union shows that Netherlands iron ore imports drop by 2% in Jul’16 as compared to Jun’16.
In Jul’16, the country imported 2.61 MnT iron ore as compared to 2.66 MnT in Jun’15. However, on Y-o-Y basis, iron ore imports drop down by 14% as compared to 3.03 MnT in Jul’15.
In the first six months of 2016, the country imported 18.2 MnT iron ore, down by 6.6% as it was 19.5 MnT in the same period last year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) imports in Jul’16 was registered at 1.95 MnT, decreased by 15.2% over the previous month as it was 2.30 MnT in Jun’16. The country imported 2.35 MnT non-agglomerated ore in Jul’15.
The agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrates) imports in Jul’16 was registered at 0.65 MnT against 0.36 MnT in Jun’16. However, on Y-o-Y basis, the country’s agglomerated imports dropped down by 4.4% as it was 0.68 MnT in Jul’15.
