Indian government has extended the minimum import price (MIP) on 66 steel products till December 4. The MIP ranges between $341-752 per tonne.
MIP was earlier levied in the month of February 2016, on 173 steel products for a duration of 5 months, which was later extended for 2 months (till Oct 4).
It was earlier speculated that government may not extend MIP on all products.
