Domestic coal prices fell INR 100-150/t w-o-w, with 5,000 GCV at INR 6,150/t and 4,500 GCV at INR 5,050/t ex-Bilaspur. Buyers refrained from lifting coal purchased in earlier SECL auctions after observing sharply lower bids in the latest ones; sellers with material bought at higher prices incurred losses. Consequently, the market was cautious amid this bid correction. Meanwhile, SECL’s 9 Dec auction will offer 1,096,000 t.
