World’s largest steel manufacturer, China does not seems to reprimand its ways to export excessive material to various other countries amid subdued domestic demand.
In time span of eight months from Jan to Aug’16, China has exported 76.57 MnT of steel, up by 6.31% against corresponding period of previous year.
Amongst the list of steel exporting nations of China, South Korea tops the list followed by Vietnam and Philippine. Out of the total steel exported from China between Jan to Aug’16, exports to South Korea totalled to 9.79 MnT.
While a total of 8.12 MnT has been exported to Vietnam during the same time period.
China’s steel exports to India stands at 2.32 MnT in first eight months of 2016.
Exports from China to India has declined by 22% in Aug’16 against Jul’16 on account of anti-dumping duty being announced in the month of August.
If Y-o-Y comparison is done, China’s steel exports to India in Aug’15 stood at 0.34 MnT, higher by 47% against 0.18 MnT in Aug’16.
