Baltic Dry Index strengthens amid increased restocking activity, tighter vessel supply

The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index increased further on 19 Nov’25, by 44 points d-o-d to 2,260 points. Improved restocking demand from Chinese steel mills and tighter vessel availability on long-haul trades supported the increase.

  • Capesize: The BCI surged by 120 points to 3,636.
  • Panamax: The BPI gained 13 points to 1,895.
  • Supramax: The BSI edged up 3 points to 1,430.
