Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap purchase prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) for all plants

Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the second time this month, effective 12 Nov’25. In this latest round, the company increased prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at all plants. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices were as follows:

• Tahara, Okayama, Kyushu, Tokyo Bay: JPY 44,000/t ($285/t).
• Nagoya, Kansai: JPY 43,500/t ($282/t).
• Utsunomiya: JPY 43,000/t ($279/t).
• Takamatsu: JPY 39,000/t ($253/t).
