Vizag Steel has recently concluded an export tender for 30,000 MT (20,000 MT bloom and 10,000 MT billet) which got expired on 18 Sept’16.
According to sources, the export tender attracted 6 participants for 20,000 MT bloom (150 X150 mm). The highest bid received was at USD 335/MT, FOB Vizag Port and the tender has been concluded at the same price bid. The cargo is likely to ship to Bangladesh.
The highest bid (H1) received for 20,000 MT bloom was at USD 335/MT, FoB, followed by second-highest at USD 332.7/MT FOB. Other bids received were as follows- USD 312/MT, USD 310/MT, USD 302/MT and the last was at USD 290/MT, FoB Vizag Port.
Alongside, the other lot of 10,000 MT billet (90X90 mm) attracted the highest bid at USD 332.75/MT, FOB Vizag Port. However, whether the company will award the tender or not is yet to be confirmed.
It is to be noted that the shipment for the respective tender is scheduled till 31 Oct’16.
The previous tender concluded by Vizag Steel for 40,000 MT bloom was settled at USD 324/MT, FoB India, and the cargo was shipped to Thailand.
