The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index increased d-o-d by 11 points on 29 Oct’25 to 1,961. The index rose as firm iron ore demand lifted Capesize rates, offsetting softness in smaller segments. Sentiment improved slightly as charterers secured prompt cargoes ahead of early Nov.
- Capesize: The BCI rose by 59 points to 2,843.
- Panamax: The BPI dropped by 19 points to 1,885.
- Supramax: The BSI fell by 8 points to 1,342.
