Taiwan: Stainless steel scrap imports double m-o-m in Sep’25

Taiwan’s stainless steel scrap imports skyrocketed by 112.4% m-o-m to 19,025 t in Sep’25 from 8,957 t in Aug. However, year-to-date imports in Jan-Sep fell sharply by 33% to 114,326 t versus 170,109 t last year. In Sep’25, the US led as the top exporter with 5,000 t, followed by Japan (2,170 t) and South Korea (1,945 t), with all major suppliers increasing shipments compared to the previous month.
