Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices rose by $0.55/dmt d-o-d to $105.6/dmt CFR China on 23 Oct. Prices inched up, as Asian iron ore trading stayed quiet towards the weekend, with limited buying interest. Medium-grade fines led activity as mills faced margin pressure. According to reports, while all grades remained expensive, medium-grade fines continued to offer the most cost-effective option in the secondary market.
