Australia: Iron ore shipments from Port Hedland rise 10% m-o-m in Sep’25; Dampier sees dip

Port Hedland’s iron ore shipments increased by 10% to 48.57 mnt in Sep’25 against 44.32 mnt in Aug, as per the Pilbara Port Authority.
However, Port Dampier’s iron ore shipments fell 6% to 13.08 mnt in Sep’25 from 13.85 mnt in Aug.
Shipments from Hedland surged on the back of strong Chinese restocking demand, while maintenance at Dampier Port, rail constraints, and mine scheduling adjustments limited overall exports.
