The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index rose 23 points d-o-d to 2,069 on 17 Oct’25. The climb was driven by stronger rates across all vessel segments, amid tightening vessel supply and steady demand for major bulk commodities such as iron ore and coal.
- Capesize: The BCI increased by 63 points to 3,121.
- Panamax: The BPI inched up by 1 point to 1,827.
- Supramax: The BSI rose 2 points to 1,424.
