Bar and rod export mainly to UAE, Taiwan, Bangladesh
Export of bar and rod from India to various countries stood at around 14,000 MT during Aug’16, which increased significantly by 30% compared to July’16, as per the customs data available with SteelMint.
The nation exported material to nearby countries like UAE, Taiwan and Bangladesh and the major port destinations from India were Visakhapatnam port and JNPT in the same duration.
India’s big steel producers are focusing more on export of finished steel in the upcoming years as their production capacity is also increasing.
