Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the first time this month, effective 7 Oct’25. In this latest round, the company increased prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its all plants except Takamatsu. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices at plants are:
- Okayama, Nagoya, Kyushu and Tokyo bay, Setallite yard: JPY 41,000/t ($273/t).
- Tahar: JPY 40,500/t ($270/t).
- Kansai and Utsunomiya: JPY 40,000/t ($266/t).
