Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) had previously floated a purchase tender for 14,570 t of ferro silicon (Si: 70% min, 10-100 mm) for its seven plants across India. At the reverse auction concluded on 3 Oct’25, the entire quantity was booked at around INR 99,540/t FOR, excluding taxes, as per official sources. Delivery is scheduled within four months from the date of the purchase order.
