Re-bar prices correct upto Rs 600/MT and Rs 300/MT in the Eastern part and Northern region of the country respectively. Whereas, markets in South is stable and offers in Western part increased upto Rs 300/MT.
“Due to some demand from Southern region, we sold some material at Rs 34,400/MT. On account of transportation issues, we are unable to sell at level of Rs 35,000/MT”, reported a Raipur based manufacturer.
According to market players, sellers at Ahmedabad offer material at Rs 200-300/MT lower on bulk purchases. Buying volumes was low the day before and is expected to be the same today as there is hardly any enquiry seen today.
“Local buying is not good but due to demand from Karnataka, markets in Goa witnessing few trades”, said a trader.
