India:
On Monday 5 Sep’16, Steel Mint has reported that Indian manufacturers have raised their domestic flat products prices by INR 1,500-2,000/MT which also included plates. Thus, current prices of commercial grade plates (16-20mm) are being heard at INR 30,000-30,500/MT (ex-works) basis. Whereas plates prices in Mumbai and Delhi are assessed in the range of INR 35,500-36,000/MT.
India’s export offers for plates (12-40mm) are heard at USD 400-405/MT, FoB India basis.
China:
China’s domestic market is quite volatile currently and thus, their export offers surge have come to a stall this week. The country’s export prices are heard to be in the range of USD 370-380/MT, FoB China. Given the uncertain outlook, overseas buyers are showing little interest in Chinese material.
China’s domestic plates prices are being traded at RMB 2,580-2,610/MT (USD 385-390), ex-works basis.
CIS Countries:
CIS-origin plates offers are at USD 385-390/MT, FoB Black Sea. However bids for Russian material in Europe is being heard at USD 365-370/MT, FoB Black Sea.
