SAIL, JSW Raises Flat Steel Prices by INR 1500/t (USD 22)

Indian large steel makers have raised flat steel prices by INR 1,500/MT (USD 22) for September, on account of rising export orders, expensive coking coal and low imports after Indian government imposed anti- dumping duty on flat products.

According to sources, JSW and SAIL have increased their flat product (HR, CR and Plates) prices by INR 1,500/MT.

Current offers for 2.5mm HRC (IS2062) are hovering in the range of INR 36,000-36,500/MT (including excise duty of 12.5%) in Mumbai,  INR 36,000-37,000/MT ex-Delhi and INR 36,500-37,000/MT ex-Chennai.

While, offers for 0.9 mm CRC are heard at INR 41,000-41,500/MT(including excise duty of 12.5%) ex-Mumbai and INR 41,000-41,500/MT ex-Delhi. hrcIndian HRC Export Offers Up by USD 25-30/MT
Indian manufacturers have also raised their export offers by USD 25-30/MT for October shipments owing to improved demand from European and South East Asian countries. Current offers for 2-2.5mm HRC are assessed at around USD 420-425/MT FOB India main port.
