Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the second time this month, effective 19 Sep’25. In this latest round, the company increased prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Okayama, Kyushu, and Kansai plants, while rates at other facilities remained unchanged. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices were as follows:
- Kansai: JPY 39,500/t ($267/t)
- Okayama: JPY 40,000/t ($270/t)
- Kyushu: JPY 40,500/t ($274/t)
