SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant conducted a crude coal tar auction of 1,497 t on 16 Sep’25, in which the entire quantity was sold at a weighted average bid of INR 38,604/t ex-works. This is higher than the bids received at the previous auction. Held on 6 Sep’25, the auction offered 1,797 t, with bids received within the INR 36,000-37,000/t range.
