China: Iron ore spot prices edge up d-o-d amid fresh trades

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices edged up by $0.4/dmt d-o-d to $105.9/dmt CFR China on 16 Sep’25. The market stayed firm, as port prices rose slightly with fresh trades, but buying interest was quiet overall. Mills were cautious with purchases, though good margins kept port sales going. Cheaper non-mainstream ore sold well, while talk of Tangshan cuts returned, leaving mainstream demand still unclear.
