Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 22 Aug’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 31,900/t ($365/t) ex-yard. Trade activity in both semi-finished and finished steel slowed down during yesterday’s trading session, compared to the past few days. This, along with moderate trade activities for scrap, prompted suppliers to keep their offers stable today.
