Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 100/t d-o-d on 7 Aug’25, according to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 31,800/t ($363/t) exy. The decline in semi-finished and finished steel prices observed in yesterday’s session, driven by restricted demand, influenced the scrap market. Amid moderate trade activity, suppliers made the necessary adjustments by reducing their offers.
