Portside offers for South African thermal coal moved up this week with Sep’25 shipment deals underway. At Gangavaram, RB2 (5500 NAR) was assessed at INR 8,100/tonne (t), rising INR 400 w-o-w, while RB3 (4800 NAR) rose INR 200 to INR 7,000/t. Offers for Sep bookings are driving the current trend as sponge iron buyers begin advance procurement.
