Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices fell by $1.9/dmt d-o-d to $102.6/dmt CFR China on 25 Jul’25. Market fundamentals weakened, with a slight drop in hot metal output softening portside prices and seaborne cargoes. With inventories and mid-grade supply rising, buyers pushed to consider cheaper low-grade alternatives. Still, better mill margins and higher coke costs reduced interest in low-grade fines.
