India: SAIL to auction over 9,000 t of crude coal tar

SAIL subsidiaries are scheduled to auction a total of 9,008 t of crude coal tar in late Jul’25:

• SAIL-IISCO Steel Plant: 6,140 t on 29 Jul’25
• SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant: 1,080 t on 30 Jul’25
• SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant: 1,788 t on 31 Jul’25

According to a source, SAIL-Bhilai’s auction on 21 Jul’25 for 1,009 t received no bids, as buyers stayed away, citing high prices. Buyers are waiting for price corrections.
