Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 200/t d-o-d on 24 Jul’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 32,000/t ($371/t) exy. The market saw an increase in inquiries for both semi-finished and finished steel in yesterday’s trading session, driving active demand for scrap. Consequently, scrap suppliers adjusted their pricing in response to the increased buying interest.
