Global crude steel production drops 5.8% y-o-y in Jun’25: WSA

Global crude steel production dropped by 5.8% y-o-y to 151.4 mnt in Jun’25, as per the World Steel Association (WSA), which draws on data from the 70 countries that report to it.

• China’s output dropped by 9.2% y-o-y at 83.2 mnt.
• India’s production rose 13.3% y-o-y to 13.6 mnt.
• Japan’s output declined 4.4% y-o-y to 6.7 mnt.
