South32’s manganese ore production surges q-o-q in Q4FY’25

In Q4FY’25, South32’s manganese ore production rose sharply to 1.06 wet million tonnes (wmnt), up from 0.476 wmnt in Q3FY’25. Australia manganese resumed exports, contributing around 0.467 wmnt, while South African manganese output increased 25% to 0.593 wmnt. Total FY’25 production exceeded guidance by 9%, supported by Australia’s successful operational recovery and a strong year-end performance from South Africa.
