India: Ferro vanadium prices inch down w-o-w amid lingering steel market weakness

Indian ferro vanadium (FeV 50%) prices edged by INR 6,000/t ($70/t) w-o-w to INR 1,077,000/t ($12,539/t) ex-Raipur, as steel sector demand weakens due to seasonal construction slowdowns. With steel mills slashing prices, alloy producers face cost-pressure and shrinking margins. One producer noted reduced purchase volumes and growing difficulty in maintaining profitable operations under current conditions.
