After issuing clarification on 2 Aug’16 in safeguard duty case on HR Plates/Sheets, government has issued its clarification on safeguard duty applicable in case of HRC and other hot rolled products covered under HS code 7208.
As per the notification issued, a reference price is decided for various products and safeguard duty will be applicable as 20% of CIF price minus anti-dumping duty if any.
