BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index for Raipur, fell by INR 250/t ($3/t) to INR 8,900/t ($104/t) DAP Raipur. Around 65,000 t of deals were recorded in Raipur concluded by the local sellers at revised offers. The deals were heard concluded at INR 8,700-8,800/t exw.
BigMint’s daily billet index declined by INR 100/tonne (t) d-o-d, settling at INR 36,900/t exw-Raipur, the conversion spread from sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was assessed at INR 14,500/t.
Indian sponge iron prices showed mixed trends, increasing by INR 150-400/tonne (t) d-o-d in Durgapur and Ramgarh, while prices in other regions fell by INR 50-200/t.
