The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is planning to develop a 100-acre vehicle scrapping facility near Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar through a PPP model. This facility will be nearly 20 times larger than existing setups in the state and is expected to enhance MSRTC’s revenues. The financially-strained corporation aims to attract private players by selecting bidders based on the most competitive revenue-sharing proposals.
