Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a global tender for the export of prime mild steel nonalloy concast bloom of 15,000-17,000 MT quantity.
The material to be exported comprises of size 150 *150*12,000 mm. Export duty as applicable in sellers country shall be borne by the seller and other duties payable shall be borne by the buyer. Bids for the same will be open on 05 May’16.
Two grades of concast bloom have been offered in the tender:

Prices should be quoted on FoB Haldia basis. Also, on the closure of deal with the concerned party, the shipping of the material will commence from 30 Sept’16. Prices are to be quoted per MT basis for all the markets.
Last export tender for 20,000 MT billet receives bids below USD 300/MT
The company had floated a tender for export of 20,000 MT billet on 1st Jun’16 which expired on 6th Jun’16. The company received bids below USD 300/MT FOB India (Haldia).Around 4-5 companies participated in the tender.
Vizag Steel concluded 40,000 MT Billet export tender
Largest billet exporter, Vizag Steel has also concluded an export deal for 40,000 MT billet/bloom through tender closed on 18 Jul’16. Tender comprised of 10,000 MT billet (90*90 mm) and 30,000 MT blooms (150*150 mm).
Around 20,000 MT blooms have been concluded at USD 305/MT, FoB Vizag Port (India east coast) and billet (90*90 mm) at USD 300/MT, FoB Vizag Port. Cargoes will be shipped in August 2016.
