On 11 Apr’16, DGAD (Director General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties) has accepted the petition of Indian steel majors for imposition of anti-dumping duty concerning imports of HRC and plates.
Based on its preliminary findings DGAD (Director General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties) has imposed provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of HRC/Sheets and Plates of alloy and non alloy steel under HS code 7208, 7211, 7225, and 7226 originating in or exported from China PR, Japan, Russia, Korea RP, Brazil and Indonesia.
The duty will be imposed if the landed value of imported HR coils is below USD 474/MT whereas the same for HR plates/sheets is below USD 557/MT.
The authority has invited views and comments of interested parties within 40 days of publication of its preliminary findings. It will conduct further verification if deemed necessary in its final findings.
