Indian DRI, billet, rebar update – 25 Jun

India’s induction furnace (IF) steel prices fluctuated variation d-o-d on 25 June, 2025. In different markets, mills adjusted their offers by INR 50-300/tonne (t) compared to the previous trading session.

Sponge iron offers increased by INR 50-300/t d-o-d, with the sharpest hike of INR 300/t seen in the Durgapur and Ramgarh market.

Billet tags varied by INR 50-300/t d-o-d, with the steepest increase of INR 250/t seen in Mandi and Durgapur, while in Hyderabad and Jalna prices fell by INR 300/t and INR 100/t, respectively.

Rebar (Fe 500) offers fluctuated by INR 100-200/t in major locations, with a major hike of INR 200/t seen in Durgapur.

Today, the market saw some positive movements amid a slight recovery in prices in most regions. Although trading activity is still relatively moderate, market participants anticipate that prices are likely to bottom out. However, this depends on sales and booking volumes.
